DIY Day

Time flies when you have DIY to do, replacing the wood plate the vent outlet sits on with a plastic version. I could have gone for a bike ride, as the weather forecast for Tuesday is worse than Monday, but not by much. Also, it wouldn't be annual leave if I didn't spend some time doing DIY.

The morning was spent finding the tools, the right bits to use, measuring the wooden plate and dissembling the old vent. I manage to cut out the plastic to the right size and fit the vent outlet to the plastic before lunch.

After lunch, spent time removing the screw wall plugs, drilling new holes, fitting better wall plugs, attaching the vent pipe to the vent with zip ties, fitting the plastic plate to the wall with new screws and then making sure the plate fits flush against the wall and is water tight.

After I'd finished, I had to go down to Morningside to do some shopping, so I got some chocolate for myself as a reward.

After tea, and everything, I realise I don't have a photo. Thankfully, the sun is just setting.
