At the Chattooga River

We went up to Oconee County today which is in the upper west corner where South Carolina, Georgia and North Carolina meet..it was 10 degrees cooler! Felt like a different season!

We hiked about 2 miles along the Chattooga Ridge Trail..and did a little fishing for trout..no fish..I think the water was too shallow and it was almost warm from all the heat.  I never catch any anyway!

 The trail went by two waterfalls, the first is Licklog Falls and the second is Pigpen Falls,  that are in the extras.  

I really don't like taking waterfall photos..I don't like the "white" motion stopped water but then it is hard to get the shutter speed just right to get what I really see.   I tried many different speeds for some other photos and I think I found what may be the problem was the different amounts of water in the sections of the falls, one part would look great, the other not so good.     So I think I learned something today.

Something else I was reminded of, my legs muscles are going to be talking to me tomorrow.  Time for a good soak in a hot tub!
