The RBC Canadian Open
Hey, this blip doesn't have anything to do with golf. Neither does the extra. It is wide-wednesday, yes?? I'll try and explain. In golf there are at least 3 major types of shots. The Drive, ... the Chip, ...and the putt.
This is my theory for what it's worth:
--the Drive is straightforward, hit the ball as hard as you can and try to stay on target. I compare this to a telephoto zoom lens, a favourite of many and not very difficult to understand.
--the putt seems easy like a medium focal length, stay on the green or keep everyone in the scene. (rhyming not intended)
-- now the challenge in golf, for me and many others is the chip shot. It's only a short distance from the green but somehow that ball can just go anywhere, .. in someone's lap or a bunker or in the drink. This is my wide-angle shot. It is the most difficult to understand and perfect.
I guess I won't be able to practice at the RBC open as they don't approve of cameras during a match.
