Lunch at the Stables

Unlike these residents, guests at the Stables & Bar just outside Timaru don't have their choices limited to hay and other stockfeed :-)

We headed into Timaru today to meet our friends, N & L, from Christchurch for lunch. They were down on their shiny new Can-Am Spyder (DROOOOOOL!!!) so we decided a place out of town that offered good food as well as a chance for us all to see the gorgeous farmyard animals that surround the Cafe.

As we left after a stonkingly good lunch, we stopped to say hi to the chickens, kune kune pigs and donkeys. As I was framing up this shot of this beautiful gray,  the Jerusalem donkey on the right, whom I'd already been lavishing attention on, -  decided that it wasn't enough fuss, so photobombed my blip. Too cute.
