MV Eigg the oldest Calmac ferry 1974 is the sixth of the Island Class built based on WW2 landing craft design was the Lismore Oban car ferry 1976-96 and !999-2013 then replaced by a Loch class roro ferry
Easy to identify she had the bridge heightened in 1999 to improve visibility from the bridge over any high sided vehicle being carried.
She was given an overhaul and renewed passenger certificate in March 14
Now "spare" she lies in James Watt Dock Greenock
The extras are of her in Oban Bay on service and laid up at Oban last year
