Spent the day at summer school with my big girl. We were there to help them with a day of cookery and I was surprised that she enjoyed it so much. At home she's never forthcoming at helping me cook, but tell her she's in charge and she coped brilliantly.

Came home and we were picked up by the in-laws to go shopping. Between Mr S feeling ill, my in-laws not holding back when they think someone is in the wrong, and both girls bickering at each other, it wasn't the best of days.

What made the day better is our house guest. He has such good manners and even posed for a picture. I just hope he doesn't mind all the fuss he's going to get!
