Solidarity?
I'm very used to seeing the Saltire and occasionally the Union Jack fly over Edinburgh buildings. And at festival time there can be a plethora of national flags on display.
But as I took a different route to work this morning (because of roadworks - well it is Edinburgh) I was struck by this solitary Greek flag above the former Dick Vet, now Summerhall - a creative arts hub (and distillery).
I've no idea how long it has been there. An Internet search suggests both that it might be reflecting our national characteristic of supporting others in need; as well as a possible link to a production a few weeks back of the Furies.
Whatever the reason it was a noticeable sight.
