There but for fortune

We live out our dramas and often forget how many others there are, so very much worse off than ourselves. This square sees so much of life. The elderly and disabled congregate to chat or sit in the sun, and the homeless also gather there during the day, somewhere to sit and sort out their things. Today, this lady was the only one, while life went on around her.

HH even more confused today, and likely to spend a few days more in intensive care, while they siphon off liquids and feed him intravenously. I feel so sorry for him, stuck in one position and with his hands tied to the sides so he doesn't pull out the tubes - one down his nose, two more at the base of his neck, maybe others under the bedclothes that I didn't see.

The doctors, and Wildwood, bless her, assure me that the confusion is not abnormal, under the circumstances, but it's distressing to see. I must say that I'm deeply grateful for all the encouraging messages, stars and kind thoughts sent our way by my blip friends, I love you all.

And now, roll on the day when my boy's healed and back home.
