it follows 2

wonderful guesses everyone.  "it follows" is the name of a movie produced by a good friend of ours.  it is in the "horror" genre, but i would put it closer to a hitchcock film.  we watched it tuesday night with our friends.  leaving the party, i still couldn't shake the feeling of uneasiness.  when we got home, i went out blipping.  i had been looking at some photos by michael kenna earlier in the day.  between the rawness of kenna's work, the surreal quality of the movie and the lateness of the hour, somehow yesterday's photos just felt right. i went out again tonight.  the photos from both nights are taken handheld through a darkened shop window.  i don't see them as having "literal" meaning - there is no monster - but more just an expressive darkness.
