reflection on a refrigerator
i stumbled into the kitchen this morning, grabbed a bowl and a box of cold cereal and headed for the fridge to grab the milk. nothing unusual about this morning until i noticed a before unseen reflection of light on the side of the refrigerator. i grabbed my camera, sat down on the floor and started shooting. the reflection grew, wavered, unfurled and then faded. it all happened so fast i didn't think to look where the light was coming from. remembering my cereal, i poured a bowl and downloaded my photos as i ate. to the eye, the light was beautiful, but not detailed. through the lens, the light appeared as fabric unfurling, made of some sort of fiber, complete with tatters on the tip. (this is just my poetic interpretation.) this photo is full color. the only editing i did was to crop and rotate the image for design.
i am still puzzled by this photo. i'm sure there's some explanation that involves quantum physics. but for now, i will just wait patiently by my refrigerator, hoping for this reflection to reappear.
