The Ubiquitous Nasi Goreng
The beauty of this dish is it's readily available almost anywhere there is an Asian influence. This was a cheap and cheerful cafe´lunchtime dish in the Mall of the Emirates, Dubai.
There must be thousands of variations on it but the underlying ingredients seem to be chicken, fish/prawns and rice. And a runny fried egg.
In many hotels I've stayed in it's been on the breakfast menu. On this trip to Dubai I stayed in a hotel where there was Chicken Madras and boiled rice or chapatis for breakfast.
Of course I had some. Every morning!
