Rollacoaster
Billy looked under the weather last Wednesday so we took him to the vets. Since then we have been riding a rollacoaster of emotion; they found a large mass on his liver that needed an immediate operation. A quick transfer to a specialist vets near Newmarket, more tests and discussions and then the operation, which, we were told, was long and complex They removed a very large cyst that had enveloped half his liver and damaged the bile ducts. That was Thursday. Today we could visit for the first time. Billy looked very sorry for himself but that could have a lot to do with the large plastic collar, that he hates. Long scar on his belly from front to back legs. The vets are pleased with his progress, he is eating and doing other doggy things but as to the long term we don't yet know. Specimens have been sent away for testing, answers not expected until the end of next week at the earliest. The house is strange without him, Harry is wandering around looking lost.Very stressful time but fingers crossed
