Persisting down

Our first full day in Hay-on-Wye (sorry for yesterday's cryptic clue for those whose mind doesn't work in the same peculiar ways as mine). This has been typical of the weather for most of the day, and shows the view of our car.
We did a bit of retail therapy in the shops, and then C walked the boys back alongside the River  Wye and across fields to where we are staying. They were all fairly soaked in the hour or so that they walked.
In the evening we went to a local for our Friday night Huff. Extremely disappointing  would be a polite thing to say about it. I had one glass of wine - well actually I didn't have it, I left about 80% of it. It would have been not too bad had it been on a piece of fish with some chips. C's first beer was awful, so he had a second, different beer. He left about 90% of that. Yes we should have complained. No we didn't. We were away for the weeekend, and determined we were going to enjoy it!
