Garden superstructure...

We spent the afternoon on the terrace of the Post Box Cafe in Chorlton putting together the superstructure of the garden. The idea was that we would trial it here and then take it apart to reassemble it on St. Ann's Square on Tuesday like a big LEGO or Airfix model.

We started by building a platform but when I put my decking panels on top you would have needed a lift to get onto it! There was talk about different solutions but eventually we went back to my original idea which worked. Here it all is cut and ready to be moved. Simple is always best. I had a great team working on it while I did the designer thing of telling them what I wanted and then TWEETED progress all afternoon.

The weather was dreadful with rain and temperatures more like October than July. But we had a couple of gazebos erected so could work and remain dry.

I was really pleased with the result and am looking forward to getting it up and doing the fun bit, the planting.
