Kolkwitzia Amabilis
...otherwise known as the Beauty Bush. You can see why. This shrub is 8feet high and very deep and right now it is full of flowers or emergent buds on its very many stems. It grows more flowers every year and it is one of my absolute favourites. It is messy and sprawling, looks beautiful and has THE most fabulous scent.
The gammy leg improves by the day and thankfully looks less gammy as the days progress too. The nurse has given the missing part another new iodine plaster today but remarkably it is not as large as it was last week.
Isn't the repairing that the body does fantastic? I am just amazed by it, although it's not my intention to test it out too often...
Second round of possible sports day tomorrow - fingers crossed for dry spells, and NO I will not be participating! Then the Olympic Torch runs itself through Berwickshire tomorrow afternoon but I will miss it. I can't get to where it will be in time :(
The gorgeous Susan will be here tomorrow evening so you may have a pleasant picture to look at...depends how shattered she is after a 6 hour pub shift and a 3 hour drive home...
My aim is for the beach on Friday after the workhouse - a long walk, a picnic, some coastal shots, good chat, fun times and a wee cuddle up with a film and hot chocolate by 9pm- I cannot wait!
