Big build

This coming Saturday sees the official opening of The Festival Headland opposite the Tower in Blackpool.

Sir Elton John is on stage and a crowd of some 10,000 plus is expected.

I'm assuming they will leave the staging as the following weekend the Flame arrives on Friday, with John Barrowman on Saturday followed by McFly and The Wanted on Sunday.

Later in the year, Olly Murs is performing and I believe this venue now becomes the base for the illuminations switch on in September.

The big build was in full flow when I saw it today. I guess by mid afternoon Friday it will be ready for testing
