Doreen's birthday lunch
So the landmark day has arrived and we helped Doreen celebrate her 90th birthday. A quiet morning opening cards and presents was followed by a very enjoyable lunch at the Bridge Inn, Ratho. Unfortunately the weather didn't play ball and we were treated to a cold wet day, more like autumn than summer.
Only another 10 years to go for the telegram from the Queen, who, come to think of it will be 99 at that time and set us wondering who would send a telegram to the Queen if she reaches that landmark - she's likely to as well as her mother was over 103. Perhaps as a mark of respect we all ought to send a telegram.
After lunch we had a trip to Dobbies for a quick look around the garden centre, purchasing another cake to have with tea.
