Pond, oops, Mink

Our pond is getting VERY low, in spite of some rain the last few days. It's reflecting the salal which doesn't seem to care about how much water it gets. 
A lovely day of doing many little jobs.....

Well, after the sun was down I went down to the dock (with the camera) and this creature was just coming up from there to the wharf, as they do, having fished and then wanting to run to shore.    We often surprise one on the dock but they are so fast I can't catch them... This American mink was just sitting on the end of the wharf and came closer a few steps at a time , then sat, then a few more steps til he could jump off the side to the beach.  It was almost dark so the ISO is high but I was happy to catch him for a change to record him coming right at me, his lovely tail hidden... You can see his white chin...
