Flying High

Riding in the jump seat in the helicopter over New York City and the views were awesome! Taking centre stage here is the 9/11 Memorial building. My present to Hubs for our 30th wedding anniversary today.

We started with the Ellis Island cruise to see the iconic Statue of Liberty, took the helicopter ride, shot uptown on the underground to B & H the photographic shop - his present to me ;) and finished the day at The View a revolving restaurant in Time Square, 48 floors up. It didn't end there as #1 son had beaten us to the venue with a vintage bottle of bubbly, organised a celebration cake and window table! Stunning views as the light dimmed and the sun dropped over the horizon leaving NYC's twinkling lights.
