shawford cross

Out on the bike with Zoe tonight, taking advantage of the sunny evening.

Cycled in a totally different direction from normal, and we came down past the war memorial just above Shawford. It's an impressive location overlooking the valley.

I seem to always cycle up from the valley in the other direction so haven't ever appreciated the view properly. Its another example of the benefits of not getting stuck in a routine. Don't always take the same routes.

Though I did apply that principle yesterday and got totally lost  in Ampfield woods!
