Just .....

 ...... a "squiggle" under the cherry tree in the garden, taken through the back door glass - and very heavily cropped (the photo, not the squiggle!!).

He's been a few times over the past month - looks quite young to me and is small and lean ..... not sure what he found to eat but he stayed quite a while.

Big applause to Mindseye  for getting Diego Velazquez on my WBBN quizzy thing yesterday ..... am most impressed - and it was outside the Prado in Madrid - also well done to Paola on Monday for being the first to get the city right ....... 

A one day '''mission'' on Friday ........ a three day ''mission'' on Sunday, Monday & Tuesday - all building up to an end-of-the-month Big Adventure starting on 28th August - THEN I'll be testing your geographical knowledge.   I will be visiting 5 main cities and taking 4 flights (including the ones to and from the UK) and the rest will be driving ..... 17 days in all.  
Google and Wikipedia at the ready, troops!!!  :-))
