River Tay from North Inch, Perth.
Drove up from Edinburgh to Perth this morning on the first day of a 4 day trip further north ending up near Aviemore.
Weather improved over the journey and we were rewarded with a sunny but cool day to explore the city.
And Perth is a fine city, built around St John's Kirk, solid, gracious and spacious in the city centre. We followed a walking tour around the main sights of the city then out onto the Inch to the north where this fine view of the golf course, River Tay and elegant houses was taken.
The end of the walk saw us at Reid's Cage where I had one of the best scones I'd ever tasted . Lemon and Poppy seed. For our evening meal, which happened to be our anniversary we went to a Wetherspoons. I know, I pushed the boat out, but we do have a special meal planned for Saturday evening.
