KING OF THE PROTEAS....

..... one of Australia's native flowers is this King Protea. Whilst visiting a colleague from the Prostate Cancer Support Group, he has it growing in his front garden, what a stunning show. quite a large flower being around 75 to 100 cm diameter. 

Good thing I had my "fruit phone" as with running around organising things may well have ended up without a pic.
