Choices, Choices

A very pleasant day today - warm in the sun even if the wind was a bit chilly at times, so we went out for lunch and a drive.  Lunch was at Peel Farm in the Angus hills and after finishing with one of their enormous scones, we decided a walk to the Deer Park was in order.

A new feature to the walk was these bee (or bug?) boxes mounted on fence posts, although we didn't see anything in residence in any of them yet.  How do they choose, I wonder?

Unfortunately, the walk was abandoned due to the presence of thousands of horrible flies attacking us from the bushes and swarming round our faces and in our hair.  A most unpleasant experience!

If the forecast is to be trusted, this might be the last dry day for ages, so it was good to get out and enjoy the countryside while it lasted:-)
