Walking by the sea
A lovely day today, although very quiet without the children. We returned to West Wittering, but this time avoided all the families on the beach and walked round the sand dune spit at the entrance of Chichester Harbour – East Head. Having timed it right with the tides, we were able to walk the whole way on sand by the sea. Glorious views across to Chichester and the Isle of Wight. Lots of sailing going on at the Head (see location map). Brilliant walk!
We return home tomorrow.
When I said we were heading close to where she lives, Brens very kindly sent me a list of places to go to, particularly with children in mind. I think we have worked our way through the list, although not all with children. Sadly I ran out of time and wasn’t able to organise a blipmeet, but we will most certainly be back here – a wonderful part of the country. We may have had a bad start with the journey down and some of the family arrangements didn’t quite come off as planned, but all in all it’s been a great week.
