Mindo

Today we ventured out of the city of Quito on a day trip to Mindo. This tiny village situated in the mountains has beautiful scenery and is known for its outdoor activities. We hiked it up the mountain for 1 hour and caught a cable car over the tree tops. We then walked 20 min deeper into the rainforest to discover this waterfall which we had all to ourselves while we enjoyed a romantic lunch (can of tuna with jatz biscuits followed by an apple). When we returned to the hostel Cam met up with an old friend from home, Jess, who is traveling the opposite way to us. We exchanged travel stories and went out for dinner in La Ronda with Jess and her friends.
