Middle of the world!!

The equator is the most popular tourist attraction in the whole of Ecuador! It's a cheesy, overpriced experience but lots of fun and it had to be done! The "real" equator line is actually 100m to the left of this structure. The French measured out the first one which is where the museum has been built. However when the first GPS device was used, they discovered the French were wrong and the indigenous people had been correct for centuries!
