Otavalo Markets
These markets are one of the biggest in South America! On Saturday the entire little town transforms into a market. Every street and the main square. All 7000 stores selling the same things like handmade jumpers from llama wool, jewelry, fruit and veg and clothes. Our purchases for the day were a silver pendent and necklace for Jess, and Cam got llama wool gloves and a skull made from wood. Lunch was delicious as you can see from the roasted piggy here!! The animal pic is from the animal market the same morning where locals gather and trade animals for animals, no monies involved. It was an eye opener for sure, animals included guinea pigs, chickens, pigs, dogs, cats, cows and llamas.
