feathered father and son

There was quite a show at the feeder this morning, as the older male Hairy woodpecker (on the left) was teaching the younger one (on the right) how to get food out of the contraption. Finally the father took a morsel to the tree and fed it to his son. Unfortunately the snap I took of that did not turn out well. So here they are contemplating going back to the feeder for round two.
