Christmas in August

Not that it is snowing or anything like that!
I gave hubby a gift certificate for a ride in a glider for Christmas, and he finally redeemed it today. He used to pilot a glider in the 1980s.
And what a great day it was for soaring - it was clear, not much breeze, and plenty of heat to create thermal updraft.
Here he is (in the front seat) coming in for a landing with the air brakes full on! The instructor in the back was impressed with hubby's skills :-)
