Conducting #wa2015
I went to blip today, and realised that i hadn't taken a single shot for myself today, so had to choose a quick test shot I snapped of the conducting process (assigning places for the optimum group layout) before taking some group shots of the delegation from the New Zealand IFES movement, which is called TSCF. I know their General Secretary, which is the conductor here, from the days he worked for UCCF in Scotland and I was a student. A few years ago now, but lovely to see him.
Thankfully though I am missing some of the content due to meetings and other things, even when I have to work, I can usually sit in the back and get on with things without missing everything. Today was probably the busiest day for me, including a meeting on financial coding systems for allocation so funds to IFES and national movement staff, interpreting two seminars and helping with the practicalities of the voting at the General Committee session this afternoon. And that on top of the usual information and photo gathering and processing, so I was glad that I had another fun evening with the Eurasia crowd (well, a few, as a lot of the others went out for tacos, but I wasn't hungry that late at night so stayed put) and a variety of Europeans and Africans to relax. After an earlier night last night I was back in the pool with friends tonight, chatting and floating and enjoying the Mexican heat. They do seem to have turned down the pool heat tonight, yesterday it was like a bath! The Frog pool, which handily is outside my room, has become the night swimming pool of choice! There was another party going on too, the Caribbean region had moved out of the pool and into a room nearby, but we could hear them too, but I doubt could have fitted in, though they did invite us!
