We should have seen it coming...

Our second day of fieldwork at Whitemoor, and it was cool and chilly. The first shower arrived mid-morning, and we managed to shelter while it passed. The sun came out for a while making it pleasantly warm for a change, but the sky remained threatening, with showers falling in the distance. We should have retreated to the car as soon as we saw this one on the horizon, but we carried on working until it was too late - despite standing under a huge goat willow we both got soaked to the skin.  As there seemed little sign of improvement we had to admit defeat!
