Walking home

We headed to Nelson today, the last trip we will have for the next 10 weeks due to being busy with calving on the farm.  

On the way we were stopped for cows coming down the State Highway. These cows were being moved from the Farmer's winter block, back to the main farm.  They are probably due to calve in the next couple of weeks.

We returned home this afternoon to the rain, and our worker telling us we have two more calves that were born during the day.  It wasn't a very nice day to be born, but at least they are still with their mum where they can get some lovely warm milk to warm them up.
