Pretty as a picture
The day of the wedding! Hubby arrived safely and managed to get some sleep before breakfast. The reason we had been invited to the wedding was so that I could take some photos for Leanne before the official photographer arrived, and then some evening shots. I had a wander round the hotel and gardens watching the preparations before I was needed by the bride.
I still don't think I could ever do wedding photography professionally - I suddenly completely lose any ideas I had for shots, don't know how to ask people to move about etc but I think (hope) I got some nice photos and it was lovely to see the bridesmaids and bride transformed.
Just about had time to get myself ready and curl madam's hair before the ceremony. It was all set to be outside in the gardens until two minutes before 2 o'clock when the heavens opened. An army of staff swarmed out to get everything inside and within ten minutes we were all seated inside instead. It was a short ceremony with some lovely readings and the bride looked amazing.
It was a fantastic day - no detail overlooked, everybody calm and friendly. The speeches were beautiful too, a couple so obviously in love, and loved by all. And a very friendly bunch of people who kept us entertained throughout the evening!
Congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Shaw
( I haven't used any of the actual wedding pics as I want the bride and groom to see them first - hope they like them!)
