Don't Look Down
After a damp, grey start to the day it brightened up quite nicely and eventually the sun made an appearance.
I had noticed recently that a lot of the electricity pylons around here had some some new insulators installed and I had intended to photograph some of them to show the new and old - the new ones are bright and shiny and much bigger then the old ones.
Having snapped some whilst out with the dogs I then came across this group of men at the top of one of the pylons - they were attaching some sort of cradle to the wire that runs over the top of the pylon. It seemed to be quite a slow job so I didn't get to see the end result. You can see the new insulators on the right arm of the tower.
Later this afternoon we went in to Leeds to watch our son perform at a live music festival. He plays ukulele and writes his own (rather adult themed) songs. He did get a very good reception from the audience.
Home too late to cook tea, so we had to make do with a Chinese takeaway!
