An Unexpected Meeting

All sorts going on today.....

We have signed up for fibre broadband and the new router arrived today ahead of the switch on scheduled for Wednesday. I plugged it in and connected up everything to it which all went quite smoothly. Surprised to see that our line speed increased from 4.5Mb to over 6 - just by changing the router!! So we could have had better speeds all this time. Hey ho..

Mrs madwill had ordered something to be collected from John Lewis at York, but they required her to take some photo id when collecting it. Had to be current passport or photocard driving licence - neither of which she has! So I was co-opted in to assist as I still have a current passport.

We set off along the A64 and unfortunately we got stuck in a long queue which was very slow. Whilst we were moving slowly we happened to draw alongside our daughter who was heading off to the coast for a few days break with a friend. So through the car windows we arranged to meet up at Monks Cross for coffee! So we had an unexpected meeting with her and our granddaughter - just by complete chance.
