Sharp pencil please

Overtired boy woke up too early this morning and had an early nap and was thoroughly overwrought just before tea - and took himself off to bed! After a few moments to calm down Mike persuaded him downstairs and he did have a pretty good tea - and some playing afterwards. He wanted the sharp pencil so he could poke holes in the paper and thread a pipe cleaner through. Bedtime was a minor challenge but in the end I tucked him in and left with a kiss while he was playing with his bag of crocodile jigsaw pieces and he went to sleep without further protest.
