Favourite shoes

Brown patent Mary Janes.

These are eleven years old now and I love them as much as ever. I picked them up for eighty quid in the sale in a shoe shop in the rue de Grenelle in Paris, the shoe lovers Mecca. I didn't read the name of the shop because the writing was squiggly and I didn't care enough to bother. It was only when I got home and my brother spotted the box and said 'wow, Louboutin - nice' that I realised they were very posh shoes indeed. Although in my defence Maitre L wasn't a household name back then.

I haven't worn them in years but I've got a wedding to go to in October and they'll be perfect with the dress I'm planning to wear, should I manage to drop 10lbs in the next two months.
