summer time
Long long long day in The Palace of Fun. Short staffed and plenty of the usual critical critters about. Ahhhh, when I rule the world it'll all be different!
So after wading across the flooding car park, having the brolly turn inside out and getting swept in through the doors by storm force gusts, the day just lashed, pelted and poured....hence the picture from my office window, looking out into the internal courtyard of the hospital.
The giant daisies are part of Diarmad Gavin designed garden with the money donated by Michael Flatly (from when he had his baby here a few years ago). The daisies are made from recycled garden furniture. It's all rather surreal and a 'look only' garden, there's no access for staff or patients, which is probably just as well as it would be covered in cigarette butts! Hospitals and smokers just go together!
