15 Years Merrit!

15 years ago today - and only after waiting 10 years to make damn sure we were mutually compatible psychopaths I might add - we travelled back to the homeland and got married, or Merrit, as they say roon these parts. Much thanks to my tea-total mum who helped us make the arrangements from afar and deal with the wedding circus, not least the diplomatic negotiations on seating arrangements, loose cannons and my desire for some good old big time ceilidh dancing.

It was a happy day, a very boozy day, and a very long party. So much so, the bride unfortunately threw her flowers so forcefully they got stuck in the rafters and a ladder had to be called for. Later, the drunken Strumpet stumbled upstairs and immediately passed out drunk when she got to the bridal suite. While the groom responded in kind by accidently walking into the bathroom doorframe (perhaps whilst in the process of throwing a bucket of water over the heid of his new bride to wake her up) and knocking himself out. A perfect match of two imperfect people.

Happy anniversary Dave! Thanks for so many things on so many days. And thanks for my bottle of Raspberry Gin.

*whispers* "I love you" (emotionally repressed Aberdonians don't usually make love declarations in public).

Thanks to my nephew Josh, who was only wee that night, but ran around taking photos on a disposable camera, including this one.
