Pink, Blue, and Green

15.7C starting with light rain, then drying up. Rain forecast for the afternoon onwards. Light breeze.

Maeve the Deerhound was out in her garden for a short time this morning. There were spots of rain, then a dry spell so I let her go out.

Rain is forecast for the afternoon so Maeve and I went for our walk before lunch. We went up to the church then continued out along the country road to Scryne. We turned right at Craigmill farm and went down the track to the shore road. I could see several boats out at sea. We came back along the cycle path and went down to the beach at Westhaven via the level crossing.

The tide was almost fully out. We wandered along the beach to the fishermen's huts. There were pink, blue, and green beach finds today (I have hardly found anything for a while). Valhalla A was out at sea. The smaller boats and Valhalla A's dinghy were lying on sand and seaweed near the beach. There was even more seaweed at the beach end of the channel through the rocks today. Up by the fishermen's huts I had a look at Shamara II. There appear to be problems with the screen that protects the skipper from the elements and also some damage at the stern. I don't expect to see her back in the water very soon.

We came along East Row then carried on over the road bridge over the railway then came round in a long loop heading into Carnoustie and up the main road before turning along for home. If the rain comes on Maeve won't be back in her garden today ... I expect she will go in the huff.
