A rude awakening to life.

What a storm we had overnight, wind and torrential rain and woke this morning with no power. Thankfully the lad got the generator going so that we could pump water and have a bit of light. Lynn left after breakfast and braved the storm to get back to Auckland for an appointment.

We left a little later and called in to check on the small flock of sheep that Ian looks after, this lamb must have been born during the storm and was looking a bit bedraggled, but Mum was on the job and taking good care.

We are staying in Pukekohe with Heatherbelle, she is coming along well after her visit to hospital, just needs a bit of catching up to get her strength up and back to normal. It's nice to be able to spend time with her.
