The Artist

Enjoyed catching up with my friend Jenny for lunch today after which we went to the Gallery at the Arts Village where her exhibition "Treasure" is hanging. I was at the opening last week and was amazed, but today talking with Jenny about the inspiration behind the images added so much more depth.

In this image she is standing beside works with leaves printed directly onto glass lab slides, the detail is exquisite. This was done on her home printer (evidently there were a few breakages!) . Other works are printed directly onto tiles, aluminium and bamboo paper.

It really is a credit to her. If you are in Rotorua during August, it is well worth a visit.
