I Like Your Hairdo !

Had a lift into card class this morning from T, as I did not feel well enough to drive.  On the way home we called at Chasewater Reservoir, beautiful afternoon.  Among a group of various duck was a most unusual pair., had no idea what they were but took some shots of them any way with a view to identifying them when I got home.  It seems they are Crested Runner Ducks, recognisable by their upright stance and the fact that they run rather than waddle.  I have included a group shot which shows up how different they are to other ducks.  Also a shot of the pair, not too good of him but shows the her gorgeous markings.  They were so funny running up and down the shore, and then ambling back to the water just like a couple on a day out at the seaside.  Cheered me up no end.
