I like to ride my bicycle

A colleague is trialling this bicycle for 2 weeks, and I had a go on it today. It is fairly astonishing.

It's an electric bike. You pedal like normal. but at the back, on the bottom of the pannier, is the battery. It has a duration of about 60 miles. When he gets to work he removes it and charges it up - it takes about 4 hours. Cycling with this power assist is a joy - fast (if you want it) and quite effortless. It takes him 50 minutes to cycle home 17 miles, along our busy roads.

The weather turned mid afternoon, suddenly sunny (so that is what summer should be like). So out for a brief bike ride this evening.too.
