Sharing

This is the Long hoverfly, Sphaerophoria scripta, which according to Wikipedia is a European species. They can complete a full life cycle in as little as sixteen days, and a maximum of nine generations may occur in a single year.  It is sharing the flower with a 7-spot ladybird which started to chase the hoverfly around the flower whilst I was watching until the hoverfly flew away.
