Single-dotted Wave
This little moth's name is longer than its wingspan, which is just under 20mm. It is an emergency blip - one of those shots you take first thing in the morning ( ... that seems a long time ago ...) just in case you get nothing else, and I got nothing else. The moth was on the wall in the bedroom (we didn't choose the wallpaper and haven't got around to doing anything about it - but then we have only been in the house for 11 years!). Its scientific name is Idaea dimidiata and it is very common in the UK.
I hope to have something more interesting to blip tomorrow :-)
