Visit to Durham

Haircut in Hexham followed by a bit of shopping.

Spent ages on the 'phone to insure new car for tomorrow. Had to go through the whole procedure of giving details twice and then had to pay £25 for the privilege. The nice young man on the phone who asked if I was having a good day may have regretted the question!

Lesley and I went to  Durham this evening for a photographers' event in the Cathedral. There were at least 50 photographers present, complete with tripods and a variety of cameras and lenses. It was quite challenging.

This image is of Mary, a wooden sculpture in the Galilee Chapel. I waited until the light was going down and when many photographers had left. The extra is taken from St Cuthbert's chapel, looking up to the rose window.
