A day on the lake

My son Nick packed up some sandwiches and drinks, hooked his small boat to the back of his jeep and then took the hour and twenty minute drive with his son, up to a beautiful lake to go fishing.
The quality of light that day was amazing.  Bob and I didn't go fishing but we took the ride just to enjoy the area.  We camped as a family here for many years as the kids were growing up so it actually gives me a little pang in my heart when I think about them being younger and all the fun we had. 
In this photo my grandson was going to be steering the boat and claimed he knew where all the good spots were for fishing.
