Feathery Clouds

I spent all day today cutting our front hedge! It is a very unruly laurel and was growing out across the footpath. I cut it back hard on the outside and also cut back all the branches that had grown through the fence.

Hard work and although it was cloudy and coolish when I started, by the end the sun was blazing and I was overheating - especially as I was wearing a long sleeved shirt to save my arms from laceration!

I now have 10 bags of cuttings and a huge pile of branches to get to the tip....see extra

Fish and chips was a very welcome tea - afterwards we went for a walk and there were some amazing feathery clouds (main shot) and a lovely sunset ....another extra!
